Take a Look at the New Attraction Going Into Castaway Cove Waterpark in Wichita Falls

With the weather starting to get warmer, folks are gearing up to cool off at the water park this summer. Something new is coming for 2025 and construction is going on this week.

Castaway Cove will be having their grand opening on May 17, 2025. That's almost a month and half away. So a long time before you will be able to check out this new ride. Last year, Castaway Cove was all about upgrading what they already had. Giving us new cabanas, new food options, and new party experiences. Like foam parties, live DJ's, and anniversary celebrations for their 20 years in Wichita Falls. This year, Castaway Cove is getting a brand new ride and get ready to race.

Coaster Chit Chat gave us a look at the all new Riptide Racer being installed this week in the park. This will be a mat coaster that up to four guests can race on at the same time. The ride is being designed by a company called White Water West. Taking a look at their portfolio, we can get a guess as to what this finished product may look like.

Above you can check out a ride called 'Parallel Pursuit' from a water park in Florida that was also designed by White Water West. This appears to be a similar mat racing coaster to the one we will be getting in Wichita Falls. However, ours will have four lanes instead of two. Also judging by the Castaway Cove Facebook Page, this ride will actually time you to see which one of you is actually the fastest.
