Have you heard about the Oklahoma City serial killer? Word has quickly spread over the past few months about bodies piling up in the city with the same description of their death.

When was the last time you heard about a serial killer on the loose? The FBI says that the United States has the most serial killers in the world by a large margin. Many of the stories you have heard about them are from the 1900's. However a few have popped up here and there in the 2000's. Residents of Oklahoma City are claiming one is in the area and everyone has the same story.

Over the summer, many in Oklahoma City have been claiming that a serial killer has killed at least five people and removed their faces. If you're looking for trending stories on social media in Oklahoma City, it has been popping up randomly for weeks. No news outlets have reported it and these rumors have gotten so bad that the Oklahoma City Police Department has had to release a statement.

Oklahoma City Police on Serial Killer Allegations

Apparently, the Oklahoma City Police is actually looking into these rumors and just a few hours ago released a statement calling them 'completely false'. They also urge to the folks spreading this misinformation, 'causes unnecessary fear and distracts from real public safety issues.' 

So to anyone concerned about a serial killer in Oklahoma City, you can safely visit Bricktown without having to worry about some guy cutting off your face.

Most Famous Oklahoma City Serial Killer, Oklahoma City Butcher

If you enjoy true crime, look into the Oklahoma City Butcher. A REAL serial killer in Oklahoma that police believe are linked together. Three women were killed between 1976-1986 in the Oklahoma City area. They were horribly mutilated and police do not have an official arrest of a suspect. Many believe the Oklahoma City Butcher is man named Henry Lee Lucas who died in prison in 2001. However, after police investigations, it was determined he could not have possibly committed some of the 100 murders he confessed to before he died. So maybe the Oklahoma City Butcher is still out there.
