The fans hate him and apparently his fellow NBA executives hate him as well.

Somehow Dallas Mavericks General Manager Nico Harrison still has a job and if Mavericks ownership needs another reason to fire him. Today the NBA released their Executive of the Year results. The voting panel for the 2024-25 NBA Basketball Executive of the Year Award consisted of one basketball executive from each NBA team. Congratulations to the Oklahoma City Thunder, your general manger Sam Presti won this year.

Here are the full voting results for this year and as you can see a name is nowhere to be found on the list. Dallas Mavericks General Manger Nico Harrison's so called 'Defense Wins Championships' trade didn't seem like a smart move at the time and also is not a smart move in the eye of other NBA executives months later.

In what is another slap in the face to Mavericks fans. Los Angeles Lakers General Manager Rob Pelinka (pictured to the left above) finished 6th in voting for NBA's Executive of the Year. The Mavericks are projected to lose millions over the next few years due to the actions of Nico Harrison. Season tickets have been cancelled by fans, advertisers are pulling away due to the face of the team no longer being there. It looks like this new ownership group has no idea how to run a NBA organization and they turned a team that was in the NBA Finals last year into the laughing stock of the league.

'Fire Nico' has become a chant across North Texas the past few months. How it has not become a reality at this point is honestly shocking.
