In a bit of dream casting that fans have been wanting for years, Nathan Fillion has finally appeared in a live-action 'Uncharted' film.

Last week, Fillion began tweeting little teases on Facebook and Twitter featuring maps and compasses, icons of the 'Uncharted' series, along with the date of July 16th, 2018. Fans quickly became excited as the former 'Firefly' and 'Castle' star has been dream casting for the explorer Nate Drake for many years now, but also concerned as an 'Uncharted' film has already been announced with 'Spider-Man' star Tom Holland as a younger Nate Drake. Monday morning, the questions were answered when a 15 minute fan film was released starring Fillion as Drake and 'Avatar' star Stephen Lang as Drake's mentor and father-figure Sully.

In a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, Fillion and the writer/director Allan Ungar spoke about working on the project since this past January, how the look and feel of the games directly influenced the shooting style of the movie, and a potential future for more Fillion playing Drake.
