Metallica’s James Hetfield Inducted Into Downey High School Hall Of Fame [VIDEO]

I can't help but wonder just how many famous people came out of Downey High School to warrant a hall of fame but I dare say Hetfield would have to be the most famous by far. Listening to his speech, you can hear how much his high school years influenced his musical direction.

I like to talk a little smack from time to time and say James needs to have a drink before they write the next album to kind of help put the fire back in the music but honestly, I like Death Magnetic and would be happy to get something along the same lines. Okay I'd like something maybe a little faster but beggers can't be choosers and I think the world of James and totally respect the fact that he's cleaned his act up.
