Here’s yet another reminder that Luka Doncic is no longer a member of the Dallas Mavericks.

The thing about being a sports fan is that unless your team is on a dominant run, the season will end in disappointment 99.9% of the time. That’s the sad reality of it.

However, it’s usually another team that causes your disappointment. But when it’s your team’s front office that lets you down, that’s a whole other story.

NEXT: Shaquille O'Neal Makes a Surprise Stop in Texoma

I grew up in North Texas and I’m a loyal Dallas sports fan. The first time my anger was directed toward a sports team’s front office was when Jerry Jones fired Jimmy Johnson right after he had led the Cowboys to back-to-back Super Bowl championships.

The Luka Doncic trade from the Mavs to the Lakers feels just like that to me.

Why on Earth would you trade a superstar in his prime the year after he led the team to the NBA Finals? No matter how hard I try, I can’t make it make sense.

But here we are, Mavs fans. Destined to watch the man who seemed destined to be the face of the franchise ball out for the hated Lakers.
