If you're someone that hunts and always has leftover meat, may want to help out some folks.

I know a lot of people will be going deer hunting over the next couple of weeks and maybe you're someone that always has way too much venison. A program in Oklahoma called Hunters Against Hunger are helping out those folks. If you're someone who has legally harvested a deer, you can donate it to meat processors throughout the state.

A full list of everyone involved in the program in Oklahoma can be found here. The closest one to us is in Lawton at Lawton Meat Processing at 603 SE F Avenue. You can call them for more info at 580-353-6448 .If you donate your venison, the processing is free of charge, although a $10 donation is suggested.

The venison is often taken to local food banks. So if you're someone who hunts in Oklahoma, it maybe something to consider.
