Dallas Christmas Parade Revived Thanks to Cryptocurrency
As the man says in the video at the bottom of this article, a bunch of kids must have written letters to Santa, because we got ourselves a little Christmas miracle going down tomorrow.
The Dallas Christmas Parade is happening this Saturday, and it almost would have looked very different this year. The organizers couldn’t afford the cost of raising the downtown traffic-light arms, which they have to do every year to prevent the giant parade balloons from getting stuck. Last year, it cost about $20,000, and this year, the money just wasn’t there.
TEXITcoin Helps Save the Dallas Christmas Parade this Year
That’s when a cryptocurrency company called TEXITcoin stepped in. They offered to pay the whole bill, saying they want to support Dallas and put money back into local communities.
For parade organizers, this was a huge relief. They said the parade is an important holiday event for the city, and without the donation, they wouldn’t have been able to put on the full show.

The parade starts Saturday at 9 a.m. at Commerce and Houston Streets. Thanks to the donation, the balloons will fly, the bands will march, and Dallas gets to keep one of its favorite seasonal traditions.
