If you're expecting a Christmas gift in the next few days. Hopefully these two didn't swipe it off your front porch.

Want to give a shout out to all the postal workers and delivery people working hard the next few days trying to get everybody's packages and letters delivered before Christmas. However, this time of year the porch pirates start being a little more active with all these deliveries this time of the year. Looks like a man and woman were arrested with almost SIXTY packages this week.

Looks like the Iowa Park Police Department is warning citizens of these two after the driver Harley Holder (pictured left) was caught running a red light. He was also driving without a driver's license. When police did a search of the vehicle they were found to be in possession of several people's mail from all over Texoma.

  • 18 packages from Iowa Park
  • 2 packages from Wichita Falls
  • 37 packages from other parts of Wichita County

If you have been waiting for delivery recently that never showed up. Hopefully it was not in the vehicle of these two. Police are working to determine if these two are possibly linked to other package thefts in the area.

Virginia Burden was charged with Criminal Trespass. While Harley Holder gets charged for running a red light, driving without a license. More charges are expected for the pair pending the conclusion of the police investigation.

These two maybe facing the wrath of a new Texas law that was established in 2019. If you decide to steal someone's package off their property. Depending on how many packages you steal, the punishment is more severe. The maximum penalty for porch pirate theft in Texas is anything over 50 packages, which these two were allegedly in possession of 57.

According to the new Texas law, they could be facing 5 to 99 years in prison and/or a $10,000 fine since anything over 50 packages is now considered a first degree felony.
