As with all of the Sikes Senter Mall stories the past few days. Nothing has been set in stone. However, many are speculating as to what the future holds for the property in the next few years. Looks like around seven acres of the current property would go towards a new sports stadium for Midwestern State University. What about the rest of the 53 acre Sikes Senter Mall property?

Sikes Senter Mall Could Look Like Southlake's Town Square

In an interview with KFDX Ron Kitchens, CEO & Managing Partner of the Wichita Falls Chamber, said he envisions 'what they have in Southlake'. What Ron was talking about is complex called the Town Square in Southlake. You can check out some photos of this property above and below throughout the post.

Wichita Falls Not Aiming for Higher Priced Retail Stores

Ron also said do not expect this to be a cookie cutter version of this same shopping center. Mainly the type of stores Wichita Falls would attract versus Southlake. For instance a store like Madewell is in the Southlake Town Square. That store would probably not be in Wichita Falls version of this shopping center with their high retail jeans.

Wichita Falls Hoping to Keep Some of the Current Tenants of Sikes Senter Mall

If you're a fan of current things at Sikes Senter Mall that does not mean it is going away. Ron told KFDX that things like, On The Border, Red Robin, Bricktown, and the AMC movie theater. Could be a part of this new vision of the Sikes Senter Mall property. We will wait and see what could happen to this piece of land over the next several years.
