The Chicago Cubs are probably the most cursed sports franchise in all of sports. Some people came together to try to reverse the curse.

Honestly, how can I talk about the Cubs winning the World Series this year and not bring up 'Back to the Future 2'. If that movie predicted this thirty years ago, I am going to freak out. We know it won't be against Miami since they play in the same league, but still the Cubs winning would be weird.

In case you have never heard of the 'Curse of the Billy Goat', it's a crazy story. According to Wikipedia, Billy Goat Tavern owner Billy Sianis was asked to leave a World Series game against the Detroit Tigers at the Cubs' home ballpark of Wrigley Field because his pet goat's odor was bothering other fans.

He was outraged and declared, "Them Cubs, they ain't gonna win no more," which has been interpreted to mean that there would never be another World Series game won at Wrigley Field. The Cubs have not won a National League pennant since this incident and have not won a World Series since 1908.

Well four competitive eaters came together to eat forty pounds of goat to reverse the curse. You probably know at least one of them, Kobayashi. Mainly from all of the Nathan's hot dog eating competitions he won back in the day. Will this put an end to the 'Curse of the Billy Goat'? We will have to wait to see.
