Child Finds Eggs and Hand Grenade During Hunt

The classic Easter egg hunt is fun because you never know what type of treat you’re in for. Will you find jellybeans tucked into the colorful plastic eggs or maybe something chocolate? One child in England got more than he bargained for when he found a hand grenade along with his eggs this past Sunday.

A mother saw the boy standing on top of the grenade. He thought it was a rock, but on closer inspection she discovered its true nature. A bomb squad was called in and detonated the grenade, and it’s assumed it came from a closed Army base which was used during World War II.
