I'm admittedly new to Dead Sara even though they've been around for a minute, but hey - better late than never. The band reminds a lot of the early 90's alternative scene both in sound and substance and I can really see this band taking off - especially in the Alternative scene. It wouldn't be the first time that I've been wrong about a band if they don't in fact take off but in my opinion they have the tools to do so.

I think the thing about Dead Sara that is most attractive to me is their stripped-down sound. Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of big production but less is definitely more when it's done right and producer Noah Shain did the band a solid in that department.

The band's known for their high energy performances and the video displays the sort of passion that frontwoman Emily Armstrong puts into their live show. Our next chance to catch Dead Sara live will be when the Vans Warped Tour rolls through Dallas at Gexa Energy Pavilion Tuesday, July 3.

"Weatherman" comes from Dead Sara's self-titled debut out now on Pocket Kid Records.
