First off, North Texas DOMINATES this list from Retirement Living. If you want to settle down, you move up north here in Texas. Only McCallen and Pasadena are located in the more southern part of the state. However, Pasadena was voted the best senior medical care in the state. So if you have health issues, this is where you want to be.

How Did Wichita Falls Become the Number One City to Retire In?

Well you hear it all the time. The reason to move to Wichita Falls is because of the cost of living. Wichita Falls was ranked number one by Retirement Living for affordability. Wichita Falls also had top ten ranking in safety and health care access. Wichita Falls only ranking outside of the top ten came for it's livability score.

Why Did Wichita Falls Rank So Low in Livability?

Livability was based on how walk-able your city is and also are you within a ten minute walk of a 'green zone', basically a park. Wichita Falls received a total score of 71.58 out of 100.
