The biggest story in Texas the past week has been the flash flooding that happened in Central Texas. As of this morning, the death toll is currently at 120 and another 150 are still reported missing. Here in Wichita Falls, several organizations are raising donations for these victims. These will help in the cleanup efforts in Central Texas and you can get some info here on how you can help out.
Terry Brown Putting on Benefit Concert This Saturday
Local musician Larry Brown will be playing at the Velvet Rodeo Saloon this Saturday and any money raised during the event will be going directly to those Central Texas flood victims. Larry is donating his pay from the event to the cause and he hopes you come on out to enjoy some live music as well. The show officially kicks off at 8PM in downtown Wichita Falls.
Velvet Rodeo Saloon Has Moved in Wichita Falls
Just a heads up to anyone attending this event on Saturday. The Velvet Rodeo Saloon has a new location in downtown Wichita Falls. They're now at 320 North Scott Street in the old Playboyz Nightclub next to Lazy Dog. They officially moved just over a week ago. So go enjoy some live music, some good drinks, and help out a great cause.
