As of this writing right now, the death toll for the flash flooding in Texas over the weekend is at 90 victims. Here is the breakdown of what we know so far according to CNN.

  • Kerr County: 75 people have died, including 48 adults and 27 children, according to Kerr County Sheriff Larry Leitha. Some of the children were at Camp Mystic, a Christian all-girls camp near the Guadalupe River. Ten campers and one counselor are still missing, the sheriff said on Facebook.
  • Travis County: At least seven people are reported dead in Travis County, which sits several counties east of Kerr County and includes Austin, the state capital,. Ten others are missing, Nieto said.
  • Williamson County: Two people have died, Williamson County Sheriff Matthew Lindemann said. Officials recovered one of the victims yesterday, he said.
  • Burnet County: At least three people have been confirmed dead in Burnet County, according to the sheriff’s office. Three other people are still missing, according to a post on Facebook last night.
  • Kendall County: Officials have reported two deaths related to the flooding.
  • Tom Green County: At least one person has died in Tom Green County, authorities announced Sunday.

Wichita Falls Mayor Says Local Firefighters are Helping in Kerrville

After everything that happened over the weekend, the biggest need was manpower. Literally having folks searching for these missing people. Mayor Tim Short said some Wichita Falls firefighters were making their way to Kerrville to help out anyway they could.
