When you usually buy a game, you get some cheap plastic crap that will break in a week. Sometimes it's something cool like Master Chief's helmet when 'Halo 3' came out. This will be the prize to end all prizes.

I am one of those people that buys into the deluxe video game editions. I actually just hung up the fancy posters from my 'Bioshock 2' special edition I got years ago. I know 'Call of Duty' has done stuff in the past like night vision goggles and RC cars.

Some video games have contests where you can win money by playing. I remember if you played 'Vectorman' you had a chance to win $25,000. You can see the contest in the bottom left corner of the box. More recently, the MLB 2K series had a contest for the first perfect game thrown. If you did that, you got one million dollars. I think someone actually did that on the first day of the game being released.

Well Square Enix has upped the ante on any future video game prize. If you pre order the Day One Edition of 'Just Cause 3' you're registered, but you still have some work to do. Once players register the game through Square Enix and link either their Xbox Live or PlayStation Network account, they rack up Chaos Points, earned by creating as much destruction within the game as possible. The player with the most Chaos Points after 90 days wins the island.

According to the terms of the contest, the winner will own an island, but be responsible for any related expenses including "attorney fees, escrow, and closing costs." Also, there's no guarantee this island will be some tropical oasis. "Sponsor does not guarantee the Island to be inhabitable, developed or reachable by any means other than a boat," reads the contest's terms.

If the winner would rather not own an island, they can choose to accept a cash prize of $50,000. The winner will be named in March. So if you're one of those people that just wants to screw society and go live on your own, here's your chance.
