Adam Yauch, also known as MCA of the Beastie Boys has died at the age of 47. Back in 2009, MCA was diagnosed with a cancerous parotid gland and lymph node.

Two-time Indianapolis 500 winner Dan Wheldon was killed on Sunday after his car collided with others during the IndyCar Series season finale at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. His death was pronounced approximately two hours after he was airlifted to University Medical Center.

Mikey Welsh, who played bass with the band Weezer from 1998 to 2001 before going on to a career as an artist, was found dead in the Chicago Raffaello Hotel on Saturday.
