Every town has dumb laws from the past that are still in effect, but seriously this took eighty years.

Oakland is a pretty well know city. Actually all I know about the city is that the Raiders and Athletics play there. You would think a city with professional sports teams would not have a dumb law like this still in the books. Now back in the 1930's pinball machines were used as forms of gambling and that is why they're banned, but in the 60's they became huge amusement pieces.

Well it took Oakland another fifty years to reverse this dumb law. I actually have my very own pinball machine in my house, granted its broken right now, but its still there. I couldn't imagine not playing pinball during my childhood. I remember restaurants used to have them all the time and I know that Original Parkway has one in there restaurant.

Well since the city of Oakland has not had pinball for eighty years they're doing a month long tournament. You have to score fifty million points to qualify and that is going to be one hell of a challenge. I have only gotten one million on my machine once. The winner will receive a brand new Iron Man pinball machine.
