Official Dallas Cowboys Anthem?
Back in 2014, rapper Wiz Khalifa dropped a his new single, "We Dem Boyz". Since then, the song has become an unofficial anthem of the Dallas Cowboys. Walking out of AT&T Stadium after a win, you will hear this song blasting from every tailgate. How does Wiz Khalifa feel about the Cowboys love?
Wiz Khalifa on Shannon Sharpe's Podcast
Wiz admits the Cowboys love playing the song after they score and now he has an anthem for two different teams. His other song 'Black and Yellow' has become an anthem for not just the Steelers, but all Pittsburgh teams as well. Shannon of course had to get in there and say the Cowboys are not them Boys any longer. However when the Cowboys were in their Super Bowl run, Shannon Sharpe does have an 0-2 record against the 1992 and 1995 Dallas Cowboys. He did defeat them however on two of his own Super Bowl teams, the 1998 Denver Broncos and the 2000 Baltimore Ravens.
Shannon was unable to score in his first two match ups, but does have three touchdowns all time against the Dallas Cowboys. The Dallas Cowboys may have moved on from 'We Dem Boyz' in recent years as BigXthaPlug's song 'Texas' has definitely moved into a more prominent spot in the rotation. However, 'We Dem Boyz' will still be heard for years to come.
