Wichita Falls, Texas Man Assaults Man With No Hands

Being a Wichita Falls police officer, you never know what you're going to encounter on a daily basis. On Sunday, October 27, Wichita Falls police were called out to an apartment complex off Burkburnett Road about a burglary. Police found a disabled man in an apartment with a swollen face and was bleeding. He claimed that 22-year-old Darhel Spearman busted into his apartment after he opened the door.
The victim is disabled and has no hands to defend himself with. Spearman was allegedly assaulting the victim over his dog. Wichita Falls police were trying to figure out exactly why Spearman was upset with the dog, but could not get an explanation over why exactly why he was so upset with the dog. A neighbor tried to pull Spearman off the victim and was able to identify Spearman as the suspect.
Darhel Spearman Remained at the Scene When Police Arrived
When police arrived, Spearman was still at the apartment complex. Police noted he appeared intoxicated and had blood on his hands. When police questioned Spearman about the blood, he could not explain where it came from. Spearman was taken and charged with burglary of a habitation with intent to commit another felony.
Spearman Even in Booking Did Not Feel Sorry for the Victim
According to Wichita Falls police that were booking Spearman into custody he told them, “Even though that guy had no hands, he can still catch my hands.” We will wait and see what the sentencing is for Spearman after this crazy incident over the weekend.
