Here’s How to Watch the Wichita Falls Bands in the New Year’s Day Parade
Both Memorial and Legacy high school's marching bands have left for London and here is how you can watch them perform this week.
When you think of big parades here in America, the Macy's Thanksgiving parade in New York comes to mind for a lot of folks. The big parade in London every year is their New Year's Day Parade. Half a million people line the streets to watch the parade, while half a billion people tune in to watch the parade around the world. This year, a lot of folks in Wichita Falls will be watching.
Where Does the London New Year's Day Parade Air?
You can tune in starting at 7AM on New Year's Day to check out the parade. It will air on PBS (Channel 13.1 for many residents). You can download the PBS app to watch it on their for free as well. The London Parade YouTube Channel will be streaming it for free and also the London Parade website will have it as well.
When Will We See Legacy and Memorial on the Broadcast?
Unfortunately, we do not have a set time yet for their performance. The parade is expected to last around 3.5 hours on New Year's Day. According to the website run order, the combined Wichita Falls ISD marching band is on the second page. So do not expect to see them at the start of the parade.
Keep an eye on the Memorial and Legacy Facebook pages for more info later this week. Best of luck to all the kids performing and shout out to everybody that made this once in a lifetime trip possible for these kids.
