Wichita Falls Basketball Team Already Parted Ways With Head Coach

Wichita Falls is getting ready for another sports team in town, but it looks like someone else will be coaching the team at the start of the season.

In case you were unaware, Wichita Falls will be getting a basketball team this fall. They're called The NetBurners and will be playing their home games at Kay Yeager Coliseum. The NetBurners are apart of the ABA's South Region in what is known as the Blue Division. Amarillo, Frisco, and Lubbock also have teams in this division. Now the NetBurners have only played one exhibition game and already have a major announcement. 

Wichita Falls NetBurners Announce They Have Parted Ways with Their Head Coach

The tenure for head coach Derrick Harris here in Wichita Falls was very short lived. He only coached one game for the team and that was not even a regular season game. The season does not start until October 17th. However, the team announced Coach Harris' culture and vision did not align with teams so he's no longer with the organization. We will wait and see how the upcoming season goes for the NetBurners with their new head coach.

Wichita Falls Baseball Team Back in Action Tonight

While we wait for the NetBurners season to tip off in a few months. Wichita Falls sports fans can go support The Spudders. The new baseball team is back home with a game tonight at 7PM at Hoskins Field. The team's next home game is not until mid July, so get out there and support The Spudders.
