Wichita Falls Artists Coming Together to Make Trading Cards

The Downtown Wichita Falls Art Walk is supposed to be coming back next month. In the meantime, some local artists have found a way to bring in some revenue.

We have some amazingly talented artists here in Wichita Falls and I encourage everyone to check their portfolios when they're around town selling their work. Looks like a group of artists are working together right now on a new project they're calling 'Lucky Locals'.

Wichita Falls Artists Making Trading Cards

Wichita Falls artists have until April 10th to be a part of the initial deck of cards they're calling The Founder's Edition. You are asked to submit one to five pieces of your original artwork. If chosen, you will get a share of the revenue generated from selling the card packs.

How Do Local Artists Join Lucky Locals?

Email: WonderMint.Games@gmail.com. Include your artwork, signed agreement, name/socials. Anything that you want on the back of your cards. For details on the signed agreement, you can check out the group's public Facebook page. The plan is to have the cards ready by one of the future Artwalks. If you're someone who doesn't feel comfortable standing in public next to your art. This is great way to get your work out there. 

What Should the Rare Lucky Locals Card Be?

Obviously with any successful trading or collectible card series. You have to have the rare card that everyone wants. We will wait and see which artists step up over the next week or so for this first set. They have nine artists so far and hopefully it only grows from here.
