When you have a warrant out for your arrest. It's probably best to turn yourself in. Mainly because you will get more elevated charges the more you're on the run. Well it looks like Devery Mitchell was attempting to turn himself in for a warrant at the Law Enforcement Center in Wichita Falls. Sounds like Mr. Mitchell was doing what he thought was right. Unfortunately he went about it the wrong way.

Devry Mitchell Breaks Into the Law Enforcement Center

In the early morning hours of November 17, 2024. Workers at the jail were informed that someone was breaking into the facility. Yes, you read that correctly. Attempting to break into the facility, not out. That was Devry Mitchell. He broke into the locked doors on the front of the building and told workers he was there to turn himself in because he had a warrant for his arrest.

Devry Mitchell Has No Warrant Out for His Arrest

Listen, turning yourself in was the right thing to do. NOT breaking into the building. That's just going to get you more charges. In what maybe the strangest part of this story. Wichita Falls law enforcement are unable to find any warrant for Devry Mitchell. He was in the jail a week earlier for damaging a car window in Wichita Falls, but he did not have a warrant out for his arrest after being released.

Devry Mitchell Charged for Breaking Into Law Enforcement Center

Mitchell is charged with criminal mischief over $2,500 and criminal trespass for his actions this past Sunday.
