Growing up it was a real tree in my house or nothing. If you're a real tree family as well, you know that once Christmas is over that tree will need to go. Remember DO NOT PUT YOUR TREE IN FRONT OF YOUR HOUSE FOR PICKUP. The city trash service WILL NOT pick up your tree. Here is where you will need to go starting after December 26th.

Wichita Falls Christmas Tree Drop Off Locations

• Lucy Park on Sunset Lane off Seymour Highway. Drive to the south side of the park near the Duck Pond and follow the signs. This location is open 24 hours a day.
• Kiwanis Park at 4400 Southwest Parkway. Drop-off is next to the Park’s Maintenance Building at the park’s entrance. This location is open 24 hours a day.
• The Transfer Station is at 3200 Lawrence Road. It is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• The City Landfill at 10984 Wiley Road. It’s open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Please note the Transfer Station and City Landfill are FREE drop off locations. Just show proof of residency and a residential utility account with the city. Most people use their water bill as proof of Wichita Falls account with their driver's license.

Christmas Trees Will Become Mulch for Wichita Falls Parks

The service will be offered until January 19th. During this time, the trees will be ground up and turned into mulch to be used in local parks throughout our area. Remember to remove lights and ornaments before dropping off your trees.
