
Texas Road Trips Are Legendary—And This Report Backs It Up
If you love road-tripping and Texas, you’re in luck.
It’s been many years since I’ve flown. I used to fly quite often when I was in the Navy back in the 90s, but I haven’t flown since I got out in ‘96.
Back then, I preferred to drive home to Texas from Virginia when I took leave. Sure, it could be a bit of a grind driving that far, but I typically took my time and enjoyed the sights along the way.

Road Trips Are Better Than Ever
And to this day, I love a good road trip. In fact, it’s even better these days, in my opinion. The technology available makes it easy-peasy to plan the perfect road trip.
The thing about us Texans is that we love to road trip to different parts of the state for vacations. Hell, we once spent about a week on the road when I was a kid, and we never even left the Lone Star State.
Texas Named a Top Road Trip State
So, I wasn’t the least bit surprised when I saw that WalletHub had ranked Texas as one of the 10 best US road trip destinations for summer. Sure, it gets hotter than Satan’s breath here in the summertime, but there are plenty of ways to keep cool and have a good time.
Not to mention the fact that we have some pretty awesome nightlife here, and there’s nothing quite like those hot summer nights.
