UPDATE: Dead Body Found In Street has Been Identified

UPDATE: 12/6/11 5:32 pm – Police were able to identify the body after conducting a door to door search of the 4900 block of Springhill and finding the man’s family.  The man has been identified as 72 year old Johnie Lee Peal.

Wichita Falls Police Department Crime Scene Investigators and WFPD patrol officers are continuing their investigation of a dead body found early this morning in the 4900 block of Springhill.  A passerby reported the body at 7:19 am this morning.

Cause of death is pending an autopsy, but the man was not dressed for cold weather and temperatures dropped into the mid 20s Monday Night.
