Tomorrow is the last day of school for the WFISD. For those kids that depend on those school meals, they will have plenty of options this summer with school not in session to grab a bite.

Summer is one of the toughest times for food insecurity. Our local food banks will have more people visiting, which is why most recently we had the big Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive. One of the bigger factors is kids on summer break. Many of these students depend on the lunch program to get a meal every day. This summer the WFISD will offer free meals to kids and teens that are under 18-years old. No paperwork is necessary, just show up to get a meal.
