After nearly 30 years in the business, Weird Al Yankovic has finally reached that number one spot on the Billboard album charts!

Al's eight videos in eight days strategy apparently worked as people couldn't keep their hands off the his latest album Mandatory Fun, which sold 104,000 copies during its first week in stores.

“This is something I never dreamed would ever happen,” Mr. Yankovic said.

The album is the first comedy record to hold the number one spot on the charts since 1963's My Son, the Nut, by Allan Sherman.
