A state of emergency has been issued in Temple after a tornado struck the city on Wednesday (May 22). 

The 2024 storm season has been one of the worst I can remember. It seems like a tornado strikes an urban area here in Tornado Alley just about every other day. 

Videos on social media show the twister as it hits Temple, causing widespread damage. There have been no deaths confirmed as of this posting.

The severe weather threat remains for most of Texas today. Large hail and high winds are the main threat, but there is still the possibility of tornadoes. 

Keep an eye and an ear on local media for severe weather updates.
