City of Wichita Falls Releases Footage of All Angles from Controversial Arrest

It has been 255 days since Victoria Lang was arrested at a Wichita Falls McDonald's and several people have lost their jobs due to what happened on that August 2025 day.

We have five different angles from the Victoria Lang arrest. Two parts from each arresting officer's body cameras and one video from inside the police cruiser. Before we get to the videos, the City of Wichita Falls also released a statement.

City of Wichita Falls Statement on Victoria Lang Footage Being Released

Wichita Falls, Texas - Following the indictment of former Wichita Falls Police Department member Daniel Wilson, City leaders issued a unified statement recognizing the importance of the legal process while reaffirming their commitment to continue the work of serving the Wichita Falls community.

“Today shows the legal system doing what it was designed to do,” said Mayor Tim Short.“Understandably, people will have a wide range of emotions. As that process unfolds, this is a moment to recommit to each other as we build a better future for everyone in Wichita Falls.”

City Manager Jeff Jenkins said, “We will continue the reform efforts already underway, including the ongoing review with 21CP, while continuing to support growth and opportunity across Wichita Falls.”

Interim Chief Bates added, “The actions alleged in this case are not reflective of the values of the Wichita Falls Police Department or the men and women who serve this community every day. Our focus remains on building on the work we’ve already started, supporting our officers as we strengthen trust with the community to ensure the department moves forward stronger than before.”

The first videos are from former Wichita Falls police officer Daniel Wilson who was fired back in November for his actions on this date. The Wichita Falls Police Department said he used “inappropriate force, carry methods, and body positioning” on Mrs. Lang to get her in the cruiser.

Officer Gulley was not fired by the Wichita Falls Police Department, but would resign not too long after Officer Wilson was fired. According to the statements this week, only Officer Wilson is being indicted for his actions during this arrest.

Camera Footage from Inside the Police Cruiser

The final footage is from inside the police cruiser when Victoria Lang enters. This video is over an hour and a half long, but only the first ten minutes has any real substantial footage. After the ten minute mark, the cruiser is just sitting at the station with no one inside.
