Houston Astros Stadium Turning Into a Golf Course This Week
Go from home runs, to hole in ones in Houston the next few days.
Upper Deck Golf Taking Over Houston, Texas
No, you're not going crazy. I had no idea what 'Daikin Park' was until this morning. For years, we have been used to the Houston Astros Stadium being called Minute Maid Park, but apparently in January they got a new sponsor. Before the stadium gets ready for baseball in just over a month, it's turning into a golf course.
Ever Heard of Upper Deck Golf?
For the past several years, the company Upper Deck Golf has been renting out massive sports stadiums and allowing fans to golf onto the field. It's sort of like Top Golf with several holes on the playing field. Prices start at around $80 per player and you must have at least two players at a time participating. It will take about 90 minutes for a round of upper deck golf with two players taking several shots from the nose bleeds of the stadium on a nine hole course.
Sooner Fans, You Can Golf at Memorial Stadium
Upper Deck Golf also rents out football stadiums. If you can't make it to Houston over the next few days. The only other event in our area would be in Oklahoma April 17-19. Fans can attempt to win at a stadium that has not had a championship in over 25 years. Sorry Sooners fans, always have to bring that up. For info on other Upper Deck Golf events, check out their website.
