What is Going on at the Old Times Square Building?

Back in August of 2023, the Times Record News building was sold to G.M. Properties. This building was home to our local newspaper since 1964. Over the past couple of months it has sat vacant and now we know at least one of the plans for this property.

Live Music Venue?

The Texas boys, Giovanni and the Hired Guns are making their return to Wichita Falls next month. These guys have played here several times and always put on an awesome show. I was curious where it was going to be and on the Giovanni and the Hired Guns website, I see this.

Times Square Lot?

This has to be a mistake, right? Giovanni and the Hired Guns are playing a show in the parking lot of our old newspaper building? I actually called G.M. Properties this morning and they confirmed this concert is a real thing that is happening. So if you're a big fan of Giovanni and the Hired Guns, go check out the first ever concert in the Times Square parking lot.

I guess you could say you were a part of Wichita Falls history if you check out the show. I don't know how many others could say they were at the first Times Square show. We will wait and see if this venue becomes a hot spot for live music in Wichita Falls.
