If you're a Texan who is a little on the nerdy side, you would probably like to know which Texas city is the nerdiest for an opportunity to gather with your fellow nerds. Lucky for you, a recent study identified just that.
My Own Nerdy Confession
I’ll be the first to admit to being a tad bit nerdy. While I’m a fan of traditionally nerdy things like science fiction and comic book movies, to an extent, I’m more of a sports nerd – particularly football. I love to dig deep into sports history and collect cards and memorabilia.

When it comes to nerd culture, the aforementioned science fiction and comic books immediately come to mind, along with things like cosplay and video gaming, among other things. With that in mind, the folks at All About Cookies did a deep dive to find which U.S. cities were the nerdiest.
When all was said and done, Texas was one of only three states with multiple cities on the list: Dallas and Austin. That’s no surprise to me. The only surprise for me was that Dallas ranked higher than Austin, making it the nerdiest city in the Lone Star State.

Dallas ranked in the top 10 nerdiest cities in the country due to its high number of gaming stores per capita and having the fifth-most conventions in the nation.
