Texas Man Has His Hand Cut Off With Machete During Bar Fight

A 38-year-old from Bryan, Texas was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and unlawful carrying of a weapon where alcohol was sold.

KXAN reports that Paulino Martinez (pictured above) of Bryan used the machete after a bar fight had spilled out into the parking lot.

Online jail records don’t list an attorney to speak for Martinez. He’s detained without bond on a U.S. immigration hold. Martinez also faces a probation revocation count related to an earlier conviction for deadly conduct with a firearm.

Hospital officials in Bryan had no immediate information on the wounded man.
