
Texas Ranked One of the ‘Grinchiest’ States in New Holiday Study
My oh my, it appears the Lone Star State is chock full of Grinches, so much so that Texas was named one of the “grinchiest” states in the nation in a new study by BetMGM Casino.
First and foremost, I am not one of those Grinches. While I’m not an over-the-top Christmas lover, I do love this time of year. With that being said, there is one aspect of the holiday season that tends to make me a bit of a grinch, and that’s watching my bank account drain.

Yes, Christmas can be a stressful time of year, especially if you have children. If you’re like me, you want them to have an awesome Christmas, but that’s hard to do when you’re on a budget. So, if that makes you stressed and devoid of the Christmas spirit, I get it.
I try to counter the financial stress of Christmas by promising myself that I’ll worry about that later. I always do my best to stay focused on all the things that I love about this time of year: good times with family and friends, excellent food, and, of course, getting gifts.
Anyway, I was disappointed to learn that many of my fellow Texans weren’t in the Christmas spirit this year. However, if that’s you, it’s not too late to get in the spirit. Just throw on your favorite Christmas movie and pour yourself a nice, stiff drink. It always works for me.
