I know everyone around me is upset they lost a family member, but first, let me take a selfie.

We unfortunately live in a time where everyone feels like every moment needs to be documented. No one can just live in the moment anymore. David L. Jones is very active on his social media. He is a funeral director in the Houston area. Last week he got caught taking a selfie after a funeral.

One of the mourners at the funeral made a comment about him taking a photo. Jones told them he was using the camera to fix his tie. Later, the photos were found on his Facebook page. The owner of the funeral home said Jones was an independent contractor in Jacinto City when that funeral occurred.

"We were mourning the loss of my cousin, to be a very family event, private event, it's tainted. He disrespected this day in my family's life," Rose Molina told KTRK. If the Texas Funeral Services Commission finds Jones' behavior to be a violation of conduct, he could receive a warning or a fine up to $5,000.
