Although several traditions in college football have been nominated for 2025. The only one for the entire state of Texas is A&M's 12th Man. Which has actually been going on for over 100 years at this point. Back in 1922, a Texas A&M student named E. King Gill was asked to come out of the press box and suit up to potentially come into the game. The Aggies had so many injuries they only had eleven healthy players at this point in the game. Gill was a basketball player for the school, but stood ready on the sidelines to come into the game. The injury riddled Aggies had a chance to upset undefeated  Centre College at the time, but if they didn't have enough players they would have to forfit. The Aggies would win the game 22-14.

The student section at Kyle Field stands the entire game ready to go in if needed just like Gill back in the day. Texas A&M once set the NCAA record for largest student section to attend a college football game at 40,032 back in 2014. However, the average attendance in the student section is around 38,000 for most home games.
