Storm chasers caught what appeared to be a very dangerous tornado forming near Higgins, Texas, on Sunday, May 18.

This has been an especially eventful storm season – one of the most active I can remember. Sure, severe weather is scary as hell, but it’s cool to watch from a safe distance here behind my laptop.

That’s one of the many things I love about storm chasers. Of course, you have to appreciate the fact that they’re willing to risk their lives to save the lives of others through advanced early warnings. But they also provide some cool online content to share.

The thing about the chasers in the video below that gets me is just how calm they are watching two tornadoes form, one on each side of them. If it were me, I would be freaking out thinking the two twisters might come together and form one big one right on top of me.

Not them, though. It sounds like they’re loving every minute of it. Their only dilemma is that the guy working the camera can’t decide which one to film. If I were driving, he would’ve been filming those things through the rear window as I sped away from them as fast as possible.
