There’s been plenty of talk about new music from Guns N’ Roses, but in a fresh interview, Slash has confirmed it’s absolutely happening.

Throughout 2019, GN’R members have teased new music. Richard Fortus stated the band would start on their seventh record this year. About a month later, Slash added there was material for another album, which Duff McKagan called “magnificent.”

While talking with Detroit’s 101 WRIF, Slash explained why specific details have been sparse. "The thing is, we haven't really done anything yet, and I don't like to say anything. You know how people used to promote shit and lie through their teeth? So I just wanted to be honest about it, and so there was really no telling what we were gonna do at that point,” Slash said.

“But at this point, I do know that we are gonna do this run [of fall shows], and we've already started working on stuff. So, there you go."

Earlier this month, Slash told Loudwire, “We're actually into it now, but at the same time everybody's still busy with a million other things. We haven't been able to sit down and completely focus on just the one thing, but we have been toying around with stuff.”

Guns N’ Roses have four shows booked for the remainder of 2019. Click here for all those details.
