Meet Ernie
I remember the first time I ever worked on a motor. It was a go-kart. I also remember being eight years old and cruising around with my dad in his GTO. Since then, I’ve had oil and gas in my veins.
For me, cars aren’t just my business, they’re freedom — something to jump in and take you places you have never seen. There is nothing cooler than turning up the radio and blasting favorite tunes while cruisin’ down the highway along a beach or through the mountains.
For the past 42 years I have done just that. I started out detailing cars at a local dealership, worked my way up to management and now I co-own a dealership with my wife Laura, the love of my life. It hasn’t always been easy. There have been many ups and downs and sacrifices along the way. Cars have always been my passion and classic cars are my favorite. If the cars could only talk, imagine the stories they could tell! Laura and I have traveled coast to coast delivering classics along with a little bit of Southern hospitality. Yes we are both crazy. Crazy about cars, life and each other. We’re passionate about our business and we love what we do so, hey, we never actually work!
When we’re not at the shop or out cruisin’, we enjoy live music shows, gardening, relaxing on a beach and we share our homes with five dogs. Yes, homes. We divide our time between our hometown of Wichita Falls and our second home — the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Our children are scattered across multiple states from Mississippi to Colorado. One is stationed at Fort Carson, Colorado, another teaches locally at Kirby Middle School and one is in college at University of Southern Mississippi studying dentistry.
Meet Laura
You’ve probably heard me on the radio here in Wichita Falls, or via satellite radio in Lawton, or maybe we’ve met when you’ve been out car shopping. Either way, I’m excited to be back on the radio in Wichita Falls!
I grew up in Wichita Falls. Recorded my first radio commercial at eight years old. I knew then I was meant to play music and hopefully along the way, brighten someone’s day. So it all started in 1981.
Since then, I’ve been heard in cities around the country via ABC Radio Networks, every military base in the world through Armed Forces Radio and reported traffic and road conditions on radio and television stations in various cities including Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, Houston, Oklahoma City and Phoenix, just to name a few! I even worked several years on the television side of things producing and directing newscasts. But nowhere is home like Wichita Falls!
When I’m not on the radio, I love going to live music shows with my husband, Ernie, relaxing with my five dogs, perfecting my yoga poses and relaxing on the beach along the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
