Most of us celebrate New Year’s Eve with a few libations, some resolutions and many raised glasses. Red Hot Chili Peppers, on the other hand, will enjoy the copious benefits of being rock stars by performing at Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich’s New Year’s Eve Party. Abramovich’s year-ending (or year-starting, depending on your perspective) bashes are notorious and he plans to make this year better than the last.

According to the UK newspaper Telegraph, the oligarch is spending more than $7.5 million in U.S. dollars to entertain 300 guests. The Peppers will play the exclusive event, which is held at Abramovich’s estate in St. Barts.

Invitees have been asked to dress in “island chic” for the event, which begins at 10 PM and ends at 4 AM. Sounds like the guests need to be beachy, but classy. Once the festivities close, the guests will retire on super-yachts at a marina.

Past performers at Abramovich parties include Beyonce, Gwen Stefani and Prince.

The Peppers are likely to rake in a hefty payday for providing their entertainment services. And perhaps it’ll serve as a nice warm up gig for their upcoming North American tour.
