Major internet porn site Pornhub recorded a substantial decline in users correlating with the release of 'Fallout 4' earlier this week.

According to Pornhub VP Corey Price, the site started registering a 10% decline in traffic starting around 5 a.m. on the morning of the game's release.  Numbers began to rise around 3 p.m. that afternoon, but dropped again just three hours later.  Price told the website GamesBeat,

We can’t say we’re too surprised with what happened to our traffic during peak gaming hours.  Based on the data, it looks like a huge surge of people decided to indulge in some wasteland wandering by taking the day off of work and school to play, while the rest of the world had to wade through what we assume were the longest hours of work ever in anticipation of some alone time with their consoles.

Bethesda confirmed shipping 12 million copies of the game, quickly becoming of the highest selling games of the year.  Traffic for the site shot back up to its normal levels by 11 p.m. the night of the game's release.  Fortunately, Corey Price doesn't blame users for temporary bailing on the site, saying he's a gamer too and a fan of the Fallout series, and would have done the same himself.

Either way, gamers were still keeping their hands busy.
