Periphery ‘Alpha’ – Crank It or Yank It?

Progressive metallers Periphery look to make the jump into mainstream radio with "Alpha".

I've been spinning Periphery on The Oath for several years now, and after watching the band evolve over that period of time, I wasn't in the least bit surprised when I found out that they'd released a single to Rock Radio.

The thing is, "Alpha" isn't that much different from the djent that Periphery are known for, it's just that vocalist Spencer Sotelo went with clean vocals versus extreme vokills and the result was something a little more radio friendly.
