He wanted his mom to grill it up for dinner.

This sounds like some backwoods Oklahoma stuff, but it's actually from Oklahoma City. Ladye Hobson's eight-year-old son found a dead squirrel on his way to school. He threw it in his backpack and thought nothing of it. Apparently, the boy's father jokes about making squirrel dumplings for dinner.

Someone at the school found the squirrel and called Ladye Hobson. She had to explain to the school that they were 'country, but we're not THAT country.' In her Facebook post, she does apologize to anybody that does eat squirrel for dinner.

The boy was just being a provider for the family and I guess he really wanted to try some squirrel.
