Guess Oklahoma had to one up us here in Texas.

It was passed yesterday. You can open carry your gun around Oklahoma now without a permit. So actually a more lenient open carry policy. So you can have your gun in a visible holster, without a permit/training, in Oklahoma. However, if you want to 'hide' your gun from visible sight and walk around with it, you will need a permit for that.

"It's the ultimate freedom bill regarding open carry," Republican Representative Jeff Coody of Grandfield. Opponnets of this bill say, without handgun licenses, it will now lose six million in revenue. "It's our God-given right to defend our self," said Rep. John Bennett.

I do not have a problem with Texas current open-carry policy. I do believe everyone should have the right to a gun if they want one. I do believe though, you should have the proper training before handling a gun. Just my opinion, stay safe Oklahoma.
