Egg prices are ridiculous right now. This is mainly due to the fact of an avian flu killing at least one million egg laying chickens. With less eggs in the market, those prices are going to go up. Experts say it will be even worse during Easter when the demand gets higher. Eggs prices are on average between $5.50 to $6 a dozen depending on where you go.
Egg-tastrophe on Oklahoma Turnpike Yesterday
With the colder weather the past few days, roads are slick in certain places. Sadly, a VERY expensive wreck took place on the Will Rogers Turnpike yesterday when a semi hauling eggs lost control and crashed. Thankfully no one was killed in the wreck and only minor injuries have been reported. However, everyone's hearts broke that drove by seeing all those cracked eggs on the side of the highway.
More Craziness on Oklahoma Highway Yesterday
If an egg truck crashing wasn't enough. Another semi, cut in front of a Oklahoma plow that was de-icing the roads yesterday. The semi's load gets scrapped up from the plow and for a few seconds, the plow gets run into the median of the highway. Let these accidents to be a reminder to SLOW DOWN when it's cold like this.
