Obituary Release Animated Video for ‘Violence’

I've always maintained that, to be as serious as it is, Death Metal is a whole lotta fun to play. But as fun as it is to play, it's rare that a Death Metal band have fun with a video. With that being said, I have to admit that I love what Obituary have done with the new video for "Violence".

The video, which was animated and directed by Balazs Grof, was six months in the making. It follows the band as they load up in the Death Metal version of the Mystery Machine on their way to a show. Along the way, they have to dodge various obstacles, including dragons and zombies (because it's still a metal video).

"Violence" appears on Obituary's latest album, Inked in Blood, which is out now on Relapse Records.
