Man Clings to Moving Truck With Open Hood in Shocking Texas Video

Can someone please explain to me why in the world a guy was hanging onto the front of a pickup with its hood open driving on an access road in Texas?

I have seen many strange things in my life, but the video below takes the cake. I assume the guy was trying to keep something in place while getting the truck to a shop. That’s the only explanation I can think of. One of the folks commenting on the video thinks the same thing.

What I do know is that there is no way you could get me to do that. All it would take was one slip of the hand and he would find himself underneath that pickup, which would not end well.

But I’m a disaster thinker by nature. The first thing I think of in any situation is what could possibly go wrong. Once I identify the worst possible outcome, I’m out.

I’m going to assume the mobile mechanic came away from the incident unscathed as I’m pretty sure it would have made the news if that weren’t the case.
